Privacy Policy

How we handle the details you give us when you book an in-person yoga class.

Last updated 9 July 2026

Yogaverse runs yoga, breathwork and meditation classes in person across Sydney. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you book a class through this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

There's no account to set up and no password to remember. You book as a guest, and your ticket lands in your inbox along with any link you need to change or manage it.

What we collect

When you buy a class, an intro pack, or a monthly pass, we ask for:

  • your name, so we can address your ticket and greet you at the class;
  • your email address, so we can send your ticket, class reminders, and any changes;
  • your phone number, so we can reach you if a class time or venue changes.

We also keep a record of what you bought: the venue and time of each class you've booked, your ticket reference, and, for a monthly pass, which classes you've been to. That's what lets us check you in at the door, and on a pass it's how we keep things to one class a week.

We do not collect or store your card details. Payment is handled by our payment processor (see below), which takes your card information directly.

How we use it

We use the information you give us only to run the classes you've booked. That means:

  • taking your payment and issuing your ticket;
  • emailing you the ticket, a reminder before your class, and confirmations if you reschedule;
  • checking you in when you arrive;
  • managing a monthly pass, including its renewal and any changes you make to your preferred slot;
  • handling refunds and answering any questions you send us.

We don't send marketing emails off the back of a booking, and we don't sell or rent your details to anyone.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the services we rely on to take a booking and get your ticket to you:

  • Our payment processor handles the card payment for your class or pass. Your card details go straight to them and are covered by their own privacy terms.
  • Our email provider delivers your ticket, reminders and confirmations to your inbox.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it. Some of these providers process data overseas; where they do, we take reasonable steps to make sure your information stays protected.

Ticket and pass links

Since there's no login, the links we email you (to view a ticket, reschedule a class, or manage a pass) carry a private token that stands in for signing in. Anyone who has the link can act on your booking, so keep those emails to yourself and don't forward them.

How long we keep it

We keep your booking and attendance records for as long as we need them to run the service and to meet our tax and business record-keeping obligations. After that we remove or de-identify them. If you'd like your details removed sooner, get in touch and we'll do what we can, subject to any records we're required to keep.

Keeping it safe

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No system is ever completely secure, but we limit who can see your details to what's needed to run the classes.

Cookies

The booking pages use only the cookies they need to work. One remembers your name, email and phone so you don't have to type them again the next time you book. We don't use cookies to follow you around other sites.

Your choices

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, correct it if it's wrong, or ask us to delete it. Just email us using the details below and we'll respond as soon as we can. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
